Dora The Explorer and Boots
Boots is a furry, fuzzy, five and-a-half-year old monkey who speaks English.
He is sweet and caring and loves to hold Dora's hand, following her while they explore.
He also loves to make Dora laugh by surprising her.
Whenever Boots is feeling down he manages to bounce back with his special triple flips.
Boots loves bananas. He also loves baseball and is on a team with Dora as shown in one of the episodes. Boots is friendly and enthusiastic, and usually wears nothing but his beloved red boots, hence his name.
Together they solve many problems despite the many obstacles they come across. Whenever the problem is solved Dora does not forget to ask Boots and her viewers what was their favorite part of the day.
This is very important as it encourages memory and language skills.
Dora the Explorer and Boots in my opinion are the most loved characters on the popular Nickelodeon channel.
My daughter enjoys watching this show and playing with her Dora plush doll and her Boots plush doll.
She finds a lot of pretend play with them, as she imagines and remembers some of the episodes from the show.
The two are always together trying to reach a particular destination on
time.Dora and Boots teaches their fans so much, that parents are always amazed with the knowledge children grasp from watching these episodes.
Brandy would watch these episodes for hours whether it is from the T.V. show or the many Dora the Explorer videos we purchased for her.
When my daughter was four years old she was already reading the pre-level 1 and level 1 books. She was counting from one to hundred and she knew her colors and alphabet.
This all came from the knowledge she grasp from the episodes. Since I watched the show a couple of times I recognized the value of it and I always encourage Brandy to watch it.

We purchased all the videos we could find including the personalized Dora the Explorer video which was a big hit at her 4th birthday party.
And… if you have a Dora the Explorer and Boots fan and you are hearing some basic spanish words rest assure that those words are coming from the episodes on Nickleodeon or the DVDs she has.
