Dora the Explorer Halloween is around the corner and the kids in our neighborhood are very excited.

The discussion is on the costume each person will be wearing and of course - trick a treating.

Brandy has already told us she wanted to be Dora the Explorer and her brother Brandon has decided to join her this year and be her best friend, Boots the monkey.

We purchased a Dora the Explorer costume and a Boots costume and cannot wait to get the kids off on a trick-a-treating adventure.

Listening to the discussions, we have come to realize that Halloween this year for most of the kids in the neighborhood will be characters from the Nickelodeon channel.

Most of them are preschool age so I guess this is exactly why they would prefer to wear costumes of the characters they are familiar with.

Brandon is not a Dora the Explorer fan or a Nickelodeon fan, but since his sister loves this character so much he decided he would wear the Boots costume and accompany her.

He was tossing up between Boots or her cousin Diego but settled with Boots because Dora always takes her best friend everywhere she goes. You are sure to see Boots with Dora on each episode.

We purchased Dora the Explorer Halloween DVD and Dora the Explorer the Halloween Cat a couple days ago.

This DVD and paperback book added to the excitement that is in the air.

She invited kids from our block over to the house so they can sit and watch it together.

I popped the popcorn and they enjoyed every minute of it.

Halloween is usually great fun for kids and they look forward to it annually.

As long as they get the costumes their desire, they are very happy.
